The Regus concept

Regus is a brand of the IWG group and the only international network on this list. According to regus.com, access plans let you use Regus centers in various countries around the world.

According to the company, Regus membership gives a business freedom, benefits and flexibility. As these advantages, Regus names workspace for any budget, paying only for the space you use, space that is available immediately with no waiting, a simple all-inclusive price with no capital expenditure, and full flexibility in room size and layout.

Regus also writes that membership is about more than a place to work. It includes a wide range of products that, according to the company, let you grow without long-term commitment, as well as a support team (reception, IT and administrative support). Regus also names as part of membership a business community that includes networking events, and a mobile app for managing bookings, contracts and support requests. This statement about the community is made at the network level; regus.com does not publish an events calendar for Tbilisi.

Tbilisi centers

Four centers in Tbilisi are listed on regus.com. Regus refers to the centers by the names of their buildings:

  • Tabidze 1 Building: 2 Leonidze St., Tbilisi 0105, near Freedom Square and the metro station of the same name. The center’s page lists parking, a business lounge, meeting rooms, 24/7 video surveillance, proximity to main transport routes and a wheelchair-accessible entrance.
  • Aghmashenebeli Avenue 178: 178 Aghmashenebeli Ave., Tbilisi 0112. The center’s page lists meeting rooms, common areas, a city center location and proximity to main transport routes.
  • BCV: 71 Vazha-Pshavela Ave., Block 2, 2nd floor, Tbilisi 0186 (Saburtalo). The center’s page lists parking, bike parking, a restaurant in the building, a gym, meeting rooms and an accessible entrance.
  • Iliyard: 39a Ilia Chavchavadze Ave., Tbilisi 0179. The pages of other centers refer to it as “Signature Iliyard.” The center’s page lists meeting rooms, common areas, a city center location and proximity to main transport routes.

According to Regus, private office and dedicated desk (dedicated cowork) customers have 24/7 access. The pages do not give the centers’ other opening hours or reception schedules.

Formats and products

On the Tbilisi center pages, Regus publishes the following products:

  • Private offices: offices for one person and for small and large teams
  • Day and hourly offices, for when you need a private room for just a day or a few hours
  • Day coworking: a coworking space with a day pass; the center pages also mention dedicated desk users
  • Access plans: the Office access plan and the Coworking access plan, which, according to the company, let you use Regus centers around the world
  • Meeting rooms booked by the hour
  • Virtual office: a business address, virtual office plans, a call answering service and a registered business address
  • Medical suites and beauty and wellness rooms, whose terms Regus will give you by phone

Virtual office and business address

In Tbilisi, Regus offers a virtual office at all four addresses. According to the company’s description, the service includes a professional business address, mail handling and forwarding, and call answering. When needed, a virtual office customer can also use meeting rooms, business lounges and coworking spaces.

A registered business address is offered as a separate product; Regus does not publish its price on the website and asks you to call to find out. The virtual office page also links to a guide that describes company registration rules in various jurisdictions. If you plan to use the address to register a company in Georgia, check this in advance with Regus and your lawyer.

According to regus.com, Regus agreements are not tenancy or lease agreements: the website uses the word “rent” only for convenience and to make searching easier, and it refers to the fee for workspace services. So if you need a document confirming your address for a bank or a government agency, ask in advance what kind of document Regus issues.

Published prices

Regus publishes prices in US dollars as starting prices (“Prices from”), and each center has its own prices. Prices for private, team and day offices are given per person per day, and hourly office prices per person per hour. Regus’s website notes that prices apply at the time of the request, may change and depend on the chosen product and services as well as on availability. So confirm the final price with a Regus consultant.

Who it is for and how to get started

According to Regus, its offer is for businesses of any size and budget. On the virtual office page, the company specifically mentions limited liability companies that need a registered address and startups looking for a virtual business address.

From a center’s page, you can request a price quote; book a tour of the center, a meeting room, a day office or a coworking day pass; buy a virtual office or an access plan online; and download the Regus app. The website also has a contact form and a phone number for reaching a consultant.

What to clarify before signing a contract

Before you agree terms with Regus, it is worth clarifying the following points in writing:

  • Which legal entity will sign the contract: regus.com does not name the local operator
  • The final price for your preferred center, term and number of people, the payment currency and whether taxes are included in the price
  • Whether a virtual office or registered address can be used as your company’s legal address in Georgia and what document you will receive
  • How often your mail will be forwarded and how much forwarding costs
  • Reception hours and 24/7 access for the product you choose
  • The minimum contract term, and renewal and termination terms
  • How Signature Iliyard differs from the other centers, if you are considering it
