Who can open an account
According to the bank, its Tbilisi branch serves corporate clients and small and medium-sized businesses, and its priority is developing commercial ties between Georgia and Turkey. The bank’s website also features personal accounts, deposits and internet banking.
Whether the bank opens accounts for foreigners or for companies registered abroad is neither confirmed nor ruled out on the website, so check this with the bank in advance.
How to open an account
Accounts are opened at the branch: 72a Ilia Chavchavadze Ave., Vake Plaza, 10th floor, Tbilisi. The branch is open on weekdays, 09:30-13:30 and 14:30-18:00. The Batumi branch closed on 15 July 2024.
Under the bank’s standard terms, only existing account holders can open an account remotely. To use the mobile app, you also need to be a client of the bank and have internet banking activated.
Documents you will need
The document list is not published on the bank’s website. Under the standard terms in force since 1 April 2026, an account is opened on the basis of an application, an identity document and other documents required by law and the bank’s internal policy. Together with the application, you submit documents confirming your tax and business status.
The bank opens the account within 15 business days of the special terms being signed and the documents being submitted.
Fees and charges
For individuals, opening a current account costs 50 GEL (this fee applies only to the first account), maintaining an active account costs 100 GEL a year, and an inactive account costs 20 GEL a month. For companies, opening an account is 100 GEL, active account maintenance is 200 GEL a year, and an inactive account is 20 GEL a month.
The account maintenance fees have applied since 28 November 2025. On the business fees page, the table gives an annual fee while the note gives a monthly one, so confirm the price with the bank.
Things to keep in mind
The bank may close an account if no transactions have been made on it for one calendar year, and may refuse to carry out an instruction if the client cannot be fully identified or the requested documents have not been submitted.
